HSE Manager / Safety Manager Application

Hall Drilling LLC is celebrating 20 years as one of the most successful and well-respected oil & gas service companies in the Appalachian Basin. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our Safety Team as an HSE Manager. In this critical role, you will lead, manage, and continuously improve our health, safety, and environmental programs across our field operations. You will serve as a key liaison, working closely with hands-on field crews, supervisors, executive management, and our valued customers to foster a strong culture of safety, compliance, and excellence.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Confidently lead and conduct safety training sessions, tool-box talks, and presentations for groups of employees at various levels.
• Serve as a strong, effective communicator bridging the gap between field operations and corporate management to ensure safety protocols are universally understood and strictly followed.
• Provide immediate assistance and guidance during First Aid situations, employee injuries, and general employee wellness scenarios.
• Utilize strong computer and administrative skills to prepare detailed safety reports, incident documentation, and performance presentations for internal management and external customers.
• Draft, continuously update, communicate, and enforce comprehensive safety policies, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company-wide safety messages.
• Conduct thorough field audits, site inspections, and on-the-spot employee coaching at active well pads, access roads, mechanic shops, equipment yards, and other dynamic work locations.
• Lead proactive investigations into safety incidents, near misses, environmental spills, and workplace injuries, including performing root-cause analyses and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and travel regularly to various regional job sites to maintain a highly visible safety presence.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 5+ years of dedicated HSE experience within the oil & gas, oilfield services, construction, heavy trucking, or a closely related industry.
• Prior professional experience operating within the Appalachian Basin is highly preferred.
• In-depth working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations as they apply to heavy field operations and transportation.
• Proven experience managing compliance through ISNetworld, Veriforce, and/or other customer contractor-management systems.
• Certification as a Medical First Responder or possessing similar practical emergency-response experience is a major plus.
• Hands-on experience operating, or conducting safety training for, heavy equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, and telehandlers.
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Must reside within approximately a 1-hour driving radius of our Ellenboro, WV facility.
