1. Control the Shift
Maintain an accurate, real-time mental and written picture of who is working, which truck each driver has, active load status, and upcoming priority tasks[cite: 8].
2. Move People Safely
Give clear, timely directions, confirm driver comprehension, respond smoothly to field changes, and keep work progressing without compromising safety[cite: 8].
3. Protect the Paperwork
